Released in a limited first edition of 25 to celebrate the company's one-year anniversary, Peacock is based on a licensed image of Maryland artist Judith Olivia HeartSong's painting of the same name. The Fall 2008 edition of Women in the Arts, a publication of the Washington, D.C.-based National Museum of Women in the Arts, carried a well-placed advertisement for Transformational Threads. The background of the ad, created for Transformational Threads by the magazine's design staff, featured the striking image of "Nerium Oleander #1" by South Carolina painter Jennifer Kassing-Bradley.
