Judith Olivia HeartSong
Award-winning painter Judith Olivia HeartSong has been creating bold and striking
murals in public spaces and private residences for more than 25 years. Her murals
grace both The National Zoo in Washington, D.C., and the Patty Summers' Re-Awakening
Centre in Virginia. Her images in acrylics, which range from flora and fauna to
still lifes and women, are saturated with color and attentive to detail.
Judith's large and colorful paintings have appeared in numerous one-woman and
group shows in Florida and Maryland, and in galleries and shops in Maryland, Delaware,
and Washington, D.C. In addition, they have been used as cover art for books and
featured on note cards, t-shirts and posters, and collectors' plates. Recently,
they have been reproduced as limited-edition giclees and offered for sale aboard Princess
Cruise Line ships.
Judith's work is in public and private collections in Florida, including The
Permanent Collection of Orlando International Airport; New York, including Miracle
House and Montefiore Hospital in New York City; and Colorado, including the Kemp
Foundation.
Creator and host of wildly popular painting workshops, Judith has worked with
law enforcement professionals, hospital caregivers, and mental health professionals
and also has designed numerous arts progarms serving at-risk teens.
Judith maintains a private studio and gallery space in Glen Echo, Maryland, where she also offers art classes and workshops. Formerly a resident studio artist at The Metropolitan Center for the Visual Arts, VisArts, in Rockville, Maryland, Judith also has served as Artist in Residence
at an elementary school, where she painted murals with more than 200 Pre-K to
5th-grade students, and Membership Chair for the Orlando (Florida) Chapter of
